Handover of the Accommodation Room
When ending your accommodation, you are required to complete the following steps:
🧹 1. Prepare the accommodation place for handover
At the reserved time, hand over the cleaned accommodation place to the cleaner or housekeeper.
You must clean:
-
-
- the room,
- the shared areas of the accommodation unit (bathroom, toilet and kitchenette),
- the hob,
- and remove all personal belongings.
-
If you are leaving before your roommates, you must clean both your room and the shared areas. The last resident leaving the accommodation unit must also hand over the refrigerator cleaned and defrosted.
After completing the cleaning, inform the reception, which will arrange an inspection by the cleaner or housekeeper. The handover of the cleaned room will be confirmed by their signature on the accommodation record.
Please note: If, without prior arrangement, you end your accommodation between 13:00 and 7:00 on working days or at any time during weekends or public holidays, this will be considered a failure to hand over the accommodation place in accordance with HRR rules, and a fee will be charged according to the 📎 Schedule of Compensation for Damage and Penalties.
Condition of the room at handover
The accommodation place must be handed over:
-
-
- clean,
- without damage beyond normal wear and tear,
- in its original layout.
-
🛏️ 2. Return borrowed equipment
Return all borrowed items, in particular:
-
-
- folded bed linen,
- keys/chip/access card,
- identification sticker/temporary accommodation card,
- any other borrowed items.
-
The return of these items will be confirmed by a signature on the accommodation record.
💳 3. Settle any outstanding obligations
-
-
- All other financial obligations towards HRR must be settled no later than on the final day of accommodation.
- Residents at MSI must pay for any damage at the MSI reception.
-
📋 4. Check out in person
If you plan to leave during a weekend or public holiday, all formalities must be completed in advance during office hours.
Ending accommodation at the weekend is possible only by prior arrangement with the accommodation officer or building manager. Upon departure, you must return the keys (card or chip) and bed linen to the reception, and a fee will be charged according to the 📎 Schedule of Compensation for Damage and Penalties.
📦 5. Remove all personal belongings
No later than on the day of departure, remove all of your personal belongings from the accommodation place.
Accommodation Deposit
After your accommodation has ended and all obligations have been fulfilled, the accommodation deposit or part of the accommodation deposit may be refunded upon your request.
Failure to Comply with HRR Rules
Failure to comply with the accommodation termination rules will result in a fee being charged according to the 📎 Schedule of Compensation for Damage and Penalties.
A student who fails to hand over the accommodation place in accordance with HRR rules or fails to settle all outstanding obligations will not receive confirmation of the Certificate of Settlement of Obligations towards HRR, which must be submitted to the TBU Student Affairs Office or International Office when completing their studies.
